PRESS RELEASE - 06.03.2009

Assay results from the 2008 drilling on K9 Uranium Property, Quebec

Between May and November 2008, Bonaventure completed 58 diamond drill holes totaling 7,787 m of the Phase 2 delineation drilling of the “A” and “B” Zones. Uranium mineralization with grades 0.008% (0.16 lbs/ton) U3O8 were intersected in 45 drill holes.

About

Quebec

Mineral Exploration &

James Bay

Mining District

According to the Fraser Institute's 2007-2008 survey, Quebec ranks second out of the 68 world-wide mining jurisdictions under study for the attractiveness of its mineral potential, and ranks first world-wide for its exploration investment attractiveness. Exploration in Quebec is also very attractive as the provincial government offers a 45%+ rebate on eligible expenditures for junior exploration companies.

The James Bay Mining District region has experienced a major boom in mineral exploration since the discovery of the Roberto gold deposit in 2003. Several mineral occurrences have been discovered in a variety of metallogenic settings. In addition to the Troilus Mine, the new James Bay Mining District hosts nine (9) deposits with NI-43-101 compliant Indicated mineral resources, namely: Eleonore (Gold), Eau Claire (Gold), ?32? Zone (Gold), Orf? (Gold), Eastmain (Gold), MacLeod Lake (Copper), Lac Rocher (Nickel), Lac Levac (Nickel-Copper-PGE?s) and Apple (Uranium).

The K9 Uranium Corridor

JAMES BAY DISTRICT, QUEBEC

Bonaventure's K9 Uranium Corridor is a primary (surface) 7 km long uranium anomaly averaging 675 m in width.

  • Equivalent uranium assays (or eU3O8) from a total of 522 readings in the corridor averaged 0.05% eU3O8, whereas the 94 individual bedrock surface samples taken from the corridor averaged 0.12% eU3O8.

  • A total of 91 bedrock samples were chemically assayed and averaged 0.14% U3O8 (2.80 lbs/ton U3O8).

  • The 88 spectrometer readings from the Target 8 sector averaged 0.08% eU3O8; whereas chemical assays from the 26 bedrock samples averaged 0.21% U3O8.

Exploration to date on K9 indicates a significant two-dimensional uranium system covering 5.25 km2 in the near-vertical dipping lithologies.

The uranium system is open laterally and at depth.

K9 is being explored for R?sing-type uranium, a very large low grade uranium deposit that is mined as a large-scale open-pit operation in Namibia.

The principal exploration target is multiple uranium-bearing pegmatites, upwards of 30 m in thickness, in gneisses. Mining volume is usually created by the emplacement of many pegmatites in close proximity.

  • This type of mineralization generally shows kilometric airborne radiometric anomalies for uranium similar to what is found at K9.

  • Uranium levels in the pegmatites are between 0.0075% (0.15 lbs/ton) and 0.01% (0.20 lbs/ton) U3O8.

  • The R?sing Deposit average grade is around 0.032% (0.64 lbs/ton) U3O8.

Jean Lafleur, President of Bonaventure Enterprises states:

"The James Bay Uranium District is an exciting place for an exploration company focused on uranium. We are very pleased to have acquired such a prominent land position in this emerging District.

The acquisition and exploration of the K9 Uranium Corridor is in line with our strategy of developing a diversified portfolio of excellent uranium properties in Canada and promising gold properties in Nevada.

The K9 Corridor project nicely complements our other uranium holdings in the Athabasca Basin and in the North Shore Properties in Quebec.?
